About Chris
Chris has been a member of the professional staff at ECC since 2012. A PGA Member since 1992, he brings a wealth of overall experience, having worked at some of the finest private clubs in the country, including Medinah Country Club and Meadow Brook Club. Chris has dedicated his career to providing quality instruction and member services. He was Head Professional at the Hamlet Golf & Country Club for eight years before coming to ECC. Chris was appointed to the Met PGA Squire Cup Team on three occasions. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Met PGA from 2009-2011. He has two children and lives in Bayville.
Andrew Svoboda, PGA Tour Player

About Andrew
Andrew Svoboda competed on the PGA Tour for 3 years, finishing 2nd in the Zurich Classic. He has also competed on the Web.com Tour for 5 years earning 3 victories. Andrew has an amazing history growing up in the MET Section winning the MET Junior, MET Amateur, MET Open, and NY State Open. Along with his outstanding tournament achievements, Andrew is an excellent teacher with knowledge in Biomechanics, Trackman 4, V1 golf swing Video analysis, TPI, and Tour Level training. He is an outstanding addition to the Engineers Country Club teaching professional staff.

Jean Bartholomew

About Jean
Jean Bartholomew started playing golf at age 12 and won numerous Met PGA Junior Titles. She went on to play collegiate golf at Duke and finished Runner-up as an individual in the NCAA Championship her senior year. After playing in Asia for a few years, she qualified for the LPGA Tour where she played for 15 years. Her best-ever finish was a 2nd place in 2000 at the Betsy King Classic. In 1999, Jean led the LPGA Tour in Driving distance! Her career earnings total just under one million dollars. Jean was recognized by Newsday as one of the top 50 high school athletes ever to come from Long Island! She currently plays on the Legends Tour (it’s the Senior Tour for the LPGA). Jean has won the Met PGA Women’s Open on three occasions; 2009, 2018, 2020! She comes to ECC with a wealth of teaching experience and teaches at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens in the winter!
Mal Galletta

About Mal
Mal Galletta, Jr. has been teaching at Engineers for over 10 years. He was a Head Golf Professional for 41 years at area Metropolitan clubs.
He has held numerous competitive course records during his long-time career, including a 65 at the famed Bethpage Black for 35 years and 67 at Shinnecock Hills for 10 years!
Mal won the LI Open three times (1977,1979 and 1981), the NY State Open in 1979, the CT Senior open in 1999. He also qualified for 1 US Open and 2 PGA Championships, making the cut both times!
Mal brings a wealth of teaching/coaching experience to ECC.
