The Downtown Club at Houston Center was founded in 1976 by some of the most prominent business and government leaders in Texas including Congressman Bill Archer, John B. Carter, Jr., John B. Connally, Trammell Crow and Robert Glaze. It’s the kind of place where top lawyers hold meetings and CEOs make deals with clients. The close-knit community even weathered a hurricane together in the 90s, when those who couldn’t evacuate in time partied into the night. Today, our premier downtown Houston business club continues to be a welcoming home away from home for community leaders.
