Championship Richmond Golf

Golf at Stonehenge

Great Richmond golf finds its home at Stonehenge Golf and Country Club. More than a quarter-century ago, the late Edmund Ault, noted designer for such premier golf clubs as the Army Navy Golf Club in Arlington, Virginia, and the Country Club of Virginia’s Tuckahoe Course was engaged to create Stonehenge’s 18 holes of championship Richmond golf.

Discover Crush It! for Juniors

At the heart of our Club, golf is the storied pastime that brings families, friends and colleagues together in a way few other sports can. With our Crush It! program for junior golfers, it’s fun and simple for kids and teens to learn new skills while gaining a deeper understanding of the sportsmanship and camaraderie that golfers of all ages share.

Learn to Crush It!

Our engaging Crush It! program introduces junior golfers to essential skills they’ll use for a lifetime — both on and off the course. We’ll go beyond golfing basics like stance and swing to help young golfers develop key character traits like confidence, respect and self-discipline. From age-appropriate instruction for our youngest golfers to competitive development for teens, Crush It! is shaping the next generation of golfers.

Ladies Golf Association of Stonehenge

The Ladies Golf Association of Stonehenge (LGA) invites full golf members of the club to join our group for golf, tournaments, and social events. We have 18-hole play on Tuesdays and 9-hole play on Wednesdays from April to October, after which many stay for lunch. On an annual basis, we have a club championship, a 9-hole championship and a member-guest tournament. There are two Sundays on which we have 9-hole scrambles followed by pot-luck dinners, one in the spring and one in the fall. We also play golf and have lunch with the senior men’s group twice each year. And, on a strictly social basis, we have happy hours in the spring and fall and a holiday pot-luck luncheon, typically in December.

To join, please contact the club accountant and ask him for the name and email address of the current LGA president.

The cost to join the LGA (both 18-holers and 9-holers) is $50/year.

We look forward to meeting you and to having fun playing golf with you.

Senior Men's Golf Association

The Stonehenge Senior Men’s Group Association (SSMGA) was founded in 1988 for men 55 and over to provide both golf and social events for our members. There are currently 115 active members in the SSMGA. We have a Senior golf outing every Thursday from the end of March through the end of October, match play starting in April, team match play starting in July. There is a Member-Member/Member-Guest Tournament in the summer, a three-day Ryder-Cup format tournament in October, and an adventurous trip for three days of golf and parties at the end of October/early November. Our social events kick off with a breakfast meeting at the end of March and we have two joint rounds of golf and lunch with the Ladies Golf Association in May and September. An end-of-the-year dinner is featured in November and a holiday luncheon in December.

To join simply fill out an application that can be found in the SSMGA folder in the golf shop. Return the completed application to the Club accountant for billing.

The cost is only $20 per year. We look forward to having you join the Stonehenge Senior Men's Golf Association.
