About JJ

JJ Paulsen was born and raised in Denton, Texas. She began her tennis journey at the age of ten. As a junior player, JJ was top ranked in singles and doubles. In 1993, she accepted a tennis scholarship to Texas Women’s University where she graduated with a major in Business Administration cum laude. JJ played #1 singles doubles for TWU and earned athlete of the year three of her four years.In 1998 JJ became Director of Tennis at Oakmont Country Club. After building the program and adding two courts to the facility, JJ moved to Trophy Club Country Club to become the Director of Tennis there. JJ expanded the tennis program at TCCC and added three additional courts. In 2009, after ten successful at TCCC, JJ accepted the Director of Tennis position at Las Colinas Country Club. She is currently overseeing both Las Colinas and Trophy Club and is extremely happy to be a part of the Invited family.

About Austin

Austin grew up in Ozona, Texas. He started playing tennis at the age of 12 and quickly moved up in levels. After graduating in 2012, Austin played college tennis for Jacksonville Junior College, where he helped his team place at the National Junior College tournament playing singles and doubles.Austin joined the Invited family in 2013, as a full-time employee at Las Colinas Country Club. He became a part of the Trophy Club family in 2018. Austin is excited to bring pickleball to Trophy Club Country Club. He will be offering pickleball lessons and events all year. Austin has had the pleasure of building and running the junior program to include more than 75+ children. While here he will also be leading the racquet restringing/customization and helping to run adult men’s and women’s classes.
