Over a Century of Living with Intention
In 1896, a group of 8 men and 13 women created the College Graduate Club with the intention of connecting scholars to discuss the important topics of the day. A decade later, the University Club was founded as a private corporation aimed at promoting literature, art and culture amongst its Members, laying the foundation for the dynamic interactions we have always aspired to cultivate at the Club.

Since The University Club became a member of the Invited family in 1989, we have been a hub for San Diego’s professional, civic and community leaders to connect. As we look to the future, we aim to serve as a conduit for these same influential people to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders in San Diego.
Giving Back to Our Community
Investing in our community is a fundamental principle upheld at The University Club. Participating in local outreach programs and partnering with influential organizations gives our members the opportunity to make a real difference.
