The Club was founded upon our world-class tennis facilities, and our continuing commitment to this vibrant racquet sports program shows. We offer 12 courts – eight outdoor and four covered – that play host to numerous leagues, tournaments and juniors programs. Come enjoy Lake Conroe racquet sports at their finest!
Premier Conroe Tennis
April Sound Country Club has a highly active tennis program featuring ladies’ leagues, men and ladies’ night, interclub matches, benefit tournaments, as well as a Friday Night Mixer. They also have a quarterly dinner club and a Christmas party each year. At April Sound, it isn't just tennis, it's a way of life.

Pickleball Courts at April Sound
Come try the sport that's sweeping the nation! Pickleball welcomes players of all ages and levels with a focus on "fun, fitness and friendship." We offer both competitive and recreational games and have certified Pickleball instructors (IPTPA) on staff who are available for lessons. Plus, we hold at least one social per month and offer inter-clubs and spontaneous get-togethers. Meet us on the Pickleball courts and give this fun sport a try.

About Russ
Russ is the Director of Tennis of April Sound Country Club. Russ moved to The Woodlands area in 1988 from Atascocita where he was Director of Tennis at Walden on Lake Conroe. Russ was the Director of Tennis of The Woodlands Athletic Center and The Woodlands Country Club for 30 years. He has served on the Board of Directors of the USPTA Texas Section for 10 years and was inducted into the Kerrville Tivy High School Hall of Fame in 2017. Russ is a graduate of Texas State University, where he won the NAIA National Tennis Doubles Championship and earned a degree in Finance. Russ is a proud husband to wife Dona and son Jordan who is also a teaching tennis professional for Lost Creek CC a Invited facility.
