Woodside Country Club offers some of the best tennis in the area. Our goal is to grow the game of tennis in a family-oriented and friendly atmosphere. We strive to provide a unique experience for our members and their guests by offering social events, leagues, tournaments, doubles, singles, and junior events. Players of all skill levels are welcome here!! In addition, our tennis shop offers racquet stringing, ball machine rental and racket selection.

New Pickleball Instructor – Ben Lacy
Woodside welcomes Ben Lacy as our new Pickleball Instructor. He will be the main person doing clinics and lessons for all skill levels!! He will also help us with the Pickleball mixers and the Pickleball Demo Days to introduce Pickleball to the Woodside Membership!! But do not worry we will still play Latin music by request or hear Ben play, who is also an accomplished guitar player!!
A Little Bio about Ben:
Before Pickleball captivated him, he worked as a nuclear engineer at the SRS!! He is also a certified Pickleball Instructor and Referee. But since he had too much time on his hands traveling in his Airstream with his wife Jill and his pups.

Open to beginner ladies and members of the C Team. Followed by match play.

If you want to run, have fun, play points, listen to the GREATEST selection of Latin songs, this clinic is for you!!! Co-ed all levels.
Beginner Clinics | Mondays at 6:15 PM & Wednesday at 8 AM
If you are new to tennis or you haven't played in "X" amount of years, no worries. We have the right combination of instruction and fun! No racket, no problem, we can lend you one. No shoes, no problem, we can sell you some! Ladies usually go to the clubhouse after the clinic for some snacks and refreshments.
We recommend that in order to place you in the right skill level, you must take at least a 30 minutes private lesson.
Beginner/Intermediate
5 - 8 years old (use foam balls)

In order for your child to maximize his/her improvement, he/she must come at least TWICE per week in a consistent manner. Five and six-year-olds can opt to come only once a week. A private lesson prior to the first time is highly encouraged, especially for the children ages 5 - 8.
Leagues
Enjoy competitive league play by representing WCC at the regional level. WCC participates in the A, B, and C divisions of the CSRA Ladies League. This league is played during the weekdays in two seasons: Fall and Spring. The skill levels range from 2.5-4.5 players.
B Team

Adult Members enjoy competitive local league play representing WCC with potential for regional and national championship playoffs. Players MUST have a valid USTA membership to participate.
Spring
Age Groups: Adult 18+, 40+, 55+, and 65+
18+ & 40+ teams play 2 lines of singles and 3 lines of double. Eight players must be registered by the stated deadline.
55+ & 65+ teams play 3 lines of doubles. Six players must be registered by the stated deadline.
Ratings: 2.5-4.5 (Women/Men)
Season Starts: Late January
The local league winner advances to state competition in late May.
Summer
Age Groups: Adult 18+, 40+, 55+, and 65+
Singles Season: Men and Women teams 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0
Mixed Doubles: Co-ed teams with a combined rating of 5.0, 6.0, 7.0, and 8.0. Team matches consist of three lines of doubles. A doubles partnership cannot have a rating differential greater than 1.0, and the sum of the players’ rating cannot exceed the level in which they are playing.
Combo Doubles: Co-ed teams with players of different levels and a combined rating of 5.5, 6.5, 7.5, and 8.5. Team matches consist of three lines of doubles.
Season Starts: Early Summer
The local league winner advances to state competition in early fall.
Fall
Age Groups: Adult 18+, 40+, 55+, and 65+
Fall for Fun: Men and Women doubles teams with a combined rating of 5.0, 6.0, 7.0 or 8.0. Team matches consist of three lines of doubles.
Season Starts: Late January
The winner of the local league does NOT advance to state competition. However, all fall participants have FREE entry in the “fun Freeze Tournament”. This tournament usually takes place in late January.
League player needs to be at least 18 years old the year they participate. In the event the player is 17 years old, he/she must turn 18 in the year of league he/she is playing in.

Registration is determined by the local league. A team must have the MINIMUM number of players required for the team to be valid. More players can be added as long as the team is NOT full or it’s prior to the last TWO scheduled matches.

The Club offers a full and exciting calendar of special events consisting of a variety of social and competitive tournaments and mixers.
Social events are typically run in round-robin and clinic formats and are offered in doubles and mixed doubles. They are often accompanied by a Member get-together such as a luncheon or cocktail hour and are a most enjoyable way for Members to meet one another and to build long-lasting and valuable relationships while playing their favorite sport.

- Seasonal Mixers
The competition is fun, but fierce and rewarding, and is available for players at NTRP levels 2.5 and up.
