About Helen

Helen was born and raised in Eritrea, North East Africa. She come in as a refugee with her parents, five brothers, and sister to Indianapolis 1994. Helen graduate from Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) with a degree in Computer Technology. Helen began her career with Invited family as a Server/Captain at the Skyline Club in Indianapolis in 1999. In 2004 Helen began working at the Metropolitan Club as Supervisor/Assistant Banquet Manager, where she oversaw many private and member based events. Later she would take on additional duties as major changes swept through the banquet department and become a Service Director.In her free time, Helen enjoys spending her time with her husband, Berhane, and her three children, Nathal (14), twins Hermella and Hermon (10). Loves traveling with her family and friends around the world.

About Melissa

Born and raised in Omaha, Melissa received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska.  She always had a strong admiration for the city of Chicago, and made it her home in 2011.  Melissa has an extensive background in sales, coming from the media and broadcasting industry. Melissa thrives on connecting others, which was a natural fit for her role as Membership Director at the Mid-America Club. Melissa is a resident in the Lakeshore East/New Eastside community and loves introducing fellow neighbors to the Club.  She also volunteers and serves on the Speakers Bureau for Selah Freedom.In her free time, Melissa enjoys being with friends & family, attending wine tastings & traveling.  Her life would also not be complete without cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers & the Chicago Cubs!

About Gina

Gina is an Ohio native growing up in the great city of Cleveland. She attended The Ohio State University graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a minor in football games. She started her career with Invited in 2014 after a successful career with Morton's The Steakhouse and Carnivale Restaurant. When Gina is not at the Club she enjoys spending time with friends, her dog Nocchi, and rooting/weeping for all things Cleveland.

About Michael

Chef Michael Pivoney began by working his way up through the hospitality industry in the early years of his life.  He began as a bus boy and eventually worked his way up to corporate trainer for the front of the house at Bally’s restaurant division. Chef Pivoney went on to attend the Washburn Culinary Institute.  While at Washburn, he was instrumental in the opening of Hotel Sofitel O’Hare, where he received formal training and was quickly promoted to Chef De Rang. Once a graduate from Washburn, he accepted a position with the Walt Disney World Resorts and relocated to Orlando, FL, where he became part of the culinary team that opened Disney’s first five star resort The Grand Floridian. From there, Chef Pivoney accepted a Chef’s position at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.  In 2001,  Michael returned to Chicago and oversaw the signature restaurant for Sheraton Hotel Chicago.  He then was asked to be a part of the opening team for Hyatt San Antonio, TX.
